StackAudit™
A Clear View Of Your Dealership's Technology, Functional Overlap, And Cost Of Operation
A dealership's technology environment develops one purchasing decision at a time. Over time, applications can acquire overlapping responsibilities: several may send follow-up messages, maintain customer profiles, generate video, manage audiences, or report the same appointment. Each product may have a legitimate purpose, while the combined environment becomes difficult to assess. StackAudit™ makes that environment visible so dealership leadership can evaluate what is necessary, what is duplicated, and what could change.
StackAudit is a complimentary DEOS assessment that maps the dealership's selected systems, their functions, their connections, and estimated recurring costs. It first examines the existing environment on its own merits. It then overlays DEOS to show how a different allocation of engagement responsibilities could affect coverage and spending. The dealership receives an analysis it can inspect and revise, with the final decision remaining its own.
Begin With The Systems Already In Place
The assessment begins when the dealership identifies its DMS, CRM, CDP, scheduling tools, communications services, video applications, marketing systems, and other relevant subscriptions. A store with a substantial technology estate can enter the full environment rather than limiting the exercise to a few engagement products.
Selections build a visual map of product responsibilities and known integration relationships. Where several checked products cover the same function, StackAudit identifies the overlap. This first view is useful even if the dealership makes no decision about DEOS: it shows where the current stack may contain redundant spending, repeated data handling, competing outreach, or functions whose ownership is unclear.
Overlap is a reason to investigate, rather than proof that a product should be removed. An application may retain a necessary function, a contractual dependency, or a specialist capability that another product does not replace.
Compare The Current Environment With DEOS
| Assessment View | What The Dealership Can Examine |
|---|---|
| Current Stack | Selected applications, functional coverage, relationships, overlapping responsibilities, and estimated monthly cost. |
| Existing Redundancy | Areas where selected products already duplicate functions, before DEOS is introduced. |
| DEOS Overlay | Engagement functions that DEOS could consolidate, with affected products and remaining dependencies identified. |
| Revised Stack | Candidate removals automatically unchecked in the scenario, available for dealership review and correction. |
| Cost Comparison | Estimated removed spending, retained costs, the applicable DEOS fee, and the resulting monthly difference. |
Automatically unchecking a product changes the modeled scenario; it does not cancel a subscription or authorize a system change. The dealership can restore an item, revise an estimate, or retain a specialist service. The comparison should preserve required DMS, CRM, scheduling, financial, and other functions rather than treating the three-core-system model as a requirement to operate only three applications.
Understand The Economics
The visual result is accompanied by a cost summary. Dealership-provided invoices or subscription amounts are preferable to reference estimates. Where actual costs are unavailable, estimated values remain identifiable and adjustable. Bundled contracts, store allocations, usage fees, and annual commitments can materially change the result.
For illustration, a dealership environment costing $18,000 per month might retain $7,000 in required applications after validated consolidation. Adding $3,500 for DEOS produces a modeled recurring total of $10,500, or a $7,500 monthly difference before transition and other incremental costs. The $3,500 input reflects the stated Enterprise rate for a qualifying deployment; a single-point scenario must use its applicable $5,000 rate, producing a $6,000 difference under the same assumptions.
DEOS internal testing has produced modeled monthly savings ranging from approximately $5,000–$7,000 to $15,000–$20,000, including DEOS in the comparison. These are scenario outputs, not independently validated customer results, a representative savings forecast, or a guarantee. The useful result is the dealership's own documented comparison.
An Assessment That Supports A Decision
StackAudit organizes work that would otherwise require a manual inventory, functional comparison, dependency review, and cost model. The initial visualization and analysis are available without charge or a purchase obligation. Its value lies in making the assumptions visible before a dealership decides to consolidate.
Before retiring a service, the dealership should confirm replacement coverage, integration availability, data export needs, contract terms, implementation effort, and acceptance of the new workflow. Implementation, communications usage, vendor connection fees, and termination charges should be included where they apply. A modeled saving becomes an operating saving only when the expense is actually removed without losing required capability.
